I have an unused InfoChess game manufactured in, I guess, the 80’s. It comes complete and with a couple dozen viewgraph slides titled “Controller Training”. Anyone interested in it?
Good post, I’ve been playing chess since I was eleven, I never get bored of it.
Pretty Cool Stuff, Visit My Site If You Enjoy Playing Classic Games

That would be great–we’ll look forward to it!
I’ll be doing this game in for a class at NPS this quarter. I’ll be sure to forward a review. Very excited.
Nice blog btw, just stumbled across it today Googling CASL.
Funny, when Ty Bomba tried something like this on in “Warmaster Chess 2000” everyone hated him for it. Wrong venue, I suppose.

A month or two ago I designed a new abstract game called “Guerrilla Checkers” (though someone else suggested it should be called “6/66”. I had been working on an Afghanistan game and was thinking about how two forces could be playing two different games on the same board, with the same objective. Rules are simple and, if you squint really hard, seem to exemplify some of Mao’s maxims on guerrilla warfare. A hybrid of Checkers and Go, for two players. The “Guerrilla” player, using small Go stones, plays on the intersection points of the checkerboard squares to surround and capture the enemy pieces. Meanwhile, the “Counterinsurgent” player, using checkers, moves on the checkerboard squares to jump and capture the enemy. Equipment required: checkerboard, six checkers, and 66 small flat pieces (buttons, glass beads, small Go stones, etc.)
Please try it out!
